HORUSEE DMS

Driver-facing monitoring for drowsiness and distraction warning. HORUSEE DMS has been certified for GSR DDAW/ADDW in vehicle homologation programs and fully validated against Euro NCAP requirements.

Functions & distinctions

  • Drowsiness classification, distraction detection and gaze tracking
  • Learns individual drivers’ facial features to reduce false alarms
  • 940 nm near-infrared illumination for day and night operation
  • Automatic calibration across drivers and installation positions
  • Camera-to-driver distance: 50 - 130 cm

HORUSEE DMS + ISA

All HORUSEE DMS functions plus road-facing Intelligent Speed Assistance. The ISA function has been certified for GSR under (EU) 2021/1958, with vehicle homologation across 29 European countries.

Added ISA functions & distinctions

  • Vision and map fusion for speed-limit determination
  • Recognition of explicit and implicit speed limits
  • Conditional speed-limit interpretation
  • Robust dead reckoning during GPS signal loss
  • Supports M2, M3, N2 and N3 vehicle programs
  • Runs alongside DMS on the same core compute and memory platform

DDAW, ADDW and ISA certification is assessed by the relevant technical service within the specific vehicle homologation program; individual system claims depend on the vehicle configuration and approval scope.

02 / Shared foundation

Automotive hardware and lifecycle, built into both configurations.

HORUSEE DMS and DMS + ISA share the core automotive platform and integration framework.

01

Vehicle integration & interfaces

Common embedded computing and memory architecture, CAN vehicle signals, UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229), and vehicle-specific camera and harness integration.

02

Cybersecurity & updates

Program engineering for UNECE R155/R156 requirements, CSMS/SUMS processes and ISO/SAE 21434 cybersecurity practices.

03

Production readiness

PPAP planning, traceability, quality control and lifecycle support through IATF16949 manufacturing.

04

Fault response

Watchdog supervision, fail-safe behavior and defined degraded operation for faults and unavailable inputs, specified for the vehicle program’s functional safety concept.

03 / Vehicle integration GUI

See the system. Tune it for the vehicle.

HORUSEE’s integration GUI gives OEM and system-integration teams a live view of camera images, algorithm results, sensor information and operating states during installation and validation.

  • Inspect driver images, gaze and pupil outputs, drowsiness and distraction states, and road-facing ISA results.
  • View GPS, G-sensor, gyro, magnetic sensor and vehicle CAN signal data.
  • Set vehicle dimensions and installation parameters for different vehicle layouts.
  • Configure model thresholds, warning timing, and activation of applicable warnings for the program.

Configuration ranges and access rights are controlled by the approved vehicle program.

04 / Embedded engineering excellence

ISA added. Core compute and memory unchanged.

Adding a road-facing camera introduces another image stream and another computation task. MAI fits ISA alongside DMS on the existing SoC, flash, and DDR memory by optimizing the whole embedded system, rather than scaling hardware for each new function.

01Architecture

Optimize both sensing and inference pipelines together, with explicit compute, memory and latency budgets.

02Software

Schedule capture, preprocessing and inference to share available resources and avoid unnecessary data movement.

03Models

Optimize DMS and ISA algorithms for the target processor and real driving conditions, not isolated benchmark scores.

04System proof

Validate simultaneous function performance, memory headroom, timing and thermal behavior in the target vehicle.
